I'm sure that this has been discussed but will Moss be back for the playoffs? I really think we need him.

Wasn't it basically a hip drop tackle that did knock him out?

Well maybe he'll turn his ankle in the second -game; Moss makes this team better. Thanks for the responses!

a. It has been discussed.

b. Nobody knows for certain.

c. Based on Elko's comments, people are wondering if the injury is worse than originally thought, i.e."back by the end of the regular season". I think was Elko's comment, or at least the interpretation of many on this board)

d. Beyond the above, you devolve into debates about which back is really best, then comparing that back to a less-than-100% Moss, to can Moss be back in playing shape after being out this long, to what is his recovery routine, to "I had an ingrown toenail in high school, hurt like a MoFo, but I was back in pads in 4 weeks and 3 days" and on and on.

If Moss does not play then we were either mislead from the beginning, the injury was worse than initially thought or he had a setback during rehab. I just don't understand the silence. Speak; tell us something.

This isn't the NFL, you aren't owed information. There is an injury report and that is what you get.

It's a TEAM sport and we have other good RBs. Move on. He will or will not play. We aren't going to win or lose based on Moss alone.

Saw a tweet of him jogging out on the field for senior day. There was a video of him practicing a few weeks ago. Was listed as doubtful last game. I'd be shocked if he wasn't back for the playoffs.

I'm guessing he'll be back for the playoffs. But I've been known to be wrong occasionally.

If he returns, that's great, increases our playoff game win chances. However, he will do what's best for him and if that's taking in that NIL check then opting out for the draft, I won't be surprised.don't expect loyalty out of any player/coach.
I hope he stays to play! We need him bad.

It's discussed like every other day. Stop being lazy and creating new threads. TA has a search function.

I'm not suggesting anything, just stating the fact that he could just decide not to play and declare for the draft.

It's more of an advantage for a staff to keep information close to the vest. Surely you understand that.

if your the coach and he was 85% for the texas game would you play him? or would you rest him and hope for the best knowing by not playing him you give him. a full additional month to heal. especially if you are 100% certain you at least in the playoffs either way.

i think he plays but it won't be 100% certain u til he runs on the field. to many advantages of not sharing that information.

I just dont think other teams prepare any different for us moss or not. Not saying he isn't a difference maker just dont think its the same as having your QB out.

That being said we wont know till our next game.

Might not even get that. SEC availability reports are only required if the game is between two SEC schools.

We should put out a press release RIGHT NOW that Moss is a full participant in practice and is 100% healthy and ready to go.

The committee takes into consideratiom injuries.

Diesnt matter if its true or not. if that tiny data point tips the scale a bit and it gets us #6 and we get Tulane instead of Alabama, little white lie never hurt nobody.

Most people hate on posters like you but I think AI bots have a lot of upside on a board like this.

I think that's exactly what he's doing. Not what I would do, but I really don't blame him.

Would love to be dead wrong though.

Yeah, and I'm saying that's stupid AF to even suggest if he's healthy.

We have nothing to gain. There is a 0% chance anyone jumps us or we jump anyone.

nobody is using a draft pick on an injury-prone running back.

If there was any slight of hand it was not aimed at "we" the fans. If you follow ball you must know coaches will muddy the water in terms of P1 injuries to the best of their ability (and the law allows). Keeping the opposition guessing in terms of their game plan is an advantage and not a small one. See Reed v LSU 2024.

And if Moss will be activated it gives our opponent a large piece of the puzzle for their gameplan. No one (who is rooting for the Aggies) should have an issue with Elko playing cat and mouse with the Moss status. Ags demanding clarity from Elko I don't understand.
