Got lucky with weak schedule year 1 and year 2 was one game harder with oregon.

Ridiculous post. He just went 13-0 in the 2nd best conference in the country and beat 12-0 defending National Champion Ohio State while coaching a basketball school that compares to Kentucky in the SEC.

Just to add to this thought… for donor potential, IU has the largest number of living alumni, followed closely by Penn State, Michigan, UCLA, Ohio State, tu, Purdue, and TAMU.

The only ones that surprise me on that list are IU and Purdue. But any of those high on that list have some big bucks available if needed.

That is indeed a takeaway from this circus. Scheduling tough nonconference games has no upside anymore especially with a 9 game SEC slate. Is that what college football wants , no good early season cross conference games. I know it's not what I want but under the current system that's what we'll get.

Cignetti is good. He learned a lot from his time under Saban I'd say. He's also pretty cocky but if he can back it up more power to him

I've been a Hoosier for a much shorter time than I've been an Aggie, but let me tell you, being in the Big 10 is bizarre. You play maybe 2 hard games a year. The rest of your schedule you're basically playing the equivalent of West Virginia. But somehow, you get the reputation of competing in an "elite" conference.

Half of your Saturdays are pretty boring though. Nowhere near as exciting as the SEC gauntlet.
