Tulane and James Madison wow!
They're pretty good G5 teams. Not old school Boise good but dangerous. Tulane has enough dudes to potentially scare somebody, not sure about JMU.lil_frog8 said:

Duke lost to Tulane already this season.

But we need to expand the playoffs more!!!!
We also have a coach of a 5 loss team arguing his team need a spot .
Such a joke.
The whole system was designed when the Big XII was an actual conference and the Pac 10 was around.
This whole thing would have worked fantastically if UT/OU/A&M were still in the Big XII and the Pac 10 was an actual conference.
But we now have these two super conferences and are stuck with dumb **** like a 2 loss non power 5 team being and and a Bama team that has no business being there.

Agreed! What a flawed system when Tulane and JMU get in a 12 team national playoff over a two loss Miami/ND, Bama/Vandy, and even a 3 loss tu. The conference realignment gave us this crap. All driven by money and greed in the SEC and B1G

The real travesty is that the playoff should include 7-8 SEC teams , and adding the 9th conference game is going to make it even more difficult to even get 5, without expanding

Yes, they do.
That's what a playoff system is.
You win you go.
It can't just be certain conferences. You have to give them a chance.

Which is exactly why Sark's comments this week regarding scheduling tough OOC opponents is valid. If you just need to win 10 games on the season why make it harder on yourself? He was correct in saying if UT had scheduled Sam Houston in week 1 they'd be in. Even with a terrible loss to UF and close games with Miss St and UK.
I'm sorry but 10-2 Tulane has no business in this thing. Neither does 11-1 JMU.
The ridiculous part is that the 11th and 12th team are in the playoff at all. Not that Tulane and JMU are in. Y'all are getting upset over a participation trophy.sincereag said:
Maybe A&M should move to the AAC or Sunbelt if the final record is all that matters when it comes to making the CFP. Good gosh, this is a ridiculous system.

Tulane is 11-2 and JM is 12-1. Winning your conference has to count for something.
