So even if I can sell the at 2-3x what I paid for them, tack on another $20k in donation and you don't recover what you pay

My parents aren't Aggies and could never understand why I wanted to be at games or other events instead of coming home.

I have found that by waiting until the game is over you can pick up some real bargains on tickets.

My best friend and I have been using the Gig' Em Pass, and we went to the Auburn, Mississippi State, and South Carolina games. He received an invitation to participate in an exclusive presale for CFP first round tickets, but I won't be able to join him because I will be spending time with my family in California from 12/18-12/26.

Not sure why OP is complaining. I guarantee the stadium will be full and it won't be because there is a huge Miami contingent. Anyway, thanks to one of those people selling their tickets, my wife and son will be there yelling for the Ags.

We'll probably be able to purchase some very affordable souvenir tickets and lie about having been there.

Reselling Aggie tickets may not be very lucrative, but there are certainly a lot of people trying to make it work for them. This is the west side, but the north and south endzones are the same. Lots and lots of entire rows of a section up for sale. We're talking up to 24 contiguous seats for sale. We clearly do have a large mix of scalpers in our season ticket base.

Where you see an entire row listed, it is apparently because the seller didn't list the seat number (usually means its in the middle of the section, and they don't want to disclose that).

I've got a friend who has tickets in the section over from me who can't make it (and this guy never misses a home game) because of prior family Christmas plans. I think he was going to claim his seats and find someone local to use them, which is what I would do if I couldn't go. You don't get anything credit for releasing them to the TMF, so you can either sell them and make some profit, or give them to someone you know and at least build some goodwill that way.

A guy I know buys up a sheet-ton of season tickets every year (at major schools) and makes his living on re-selling them. That's all he does! Been doing it for years, but is getting a little more cautious now as more scrutiny in on the re-sell market!

If you look at the ticket exchange 25 WTS... 3 WTB...

I expect prices to drop drastically next Thursday. I also expect ticket pull for students to be down 5 to to 10K, as kids are not in school. Those tickets will be dumped on the market as well.

The game is the day after the last day of finals, the students will be there.

Next Tuesday is the last day of finals, and graduation is Wednesday and Thursday. None of the dorms are closing until 6 p.m. on the 20th though, and students can also request an extension of that for the playoff game.

It's been a long time for me to remember, but it seems like there were always people who stayed in dorms over holidays and breaks. Especially people who had jobs in town.

But I was in a balcony dorm with direct access to my room when I had a job off campus.
