I don't think the committee would've had the balls to put Miami in over Notre Dame if Virginia would have been in, they wanted an ACC rep and the chairman even let it slip that was part of their reasoning.

Teams work hard all season and a team is left out because a conference is garbage and an 5 loss team wins it. So the crap conference results in deserving teams being left out. Virginia loss results in flipping two other schools that didn't play?Beyond stupid. How did Virginia losing make Miami more deserving than ND?
