With all due respect I'm going to say you probably have never played. You cannot duplicate in practice what is the same in a game. That is why it's so important to get guys reps in real game time. As long as he has been out this will almost be like the beginning of the season again for him.
He will also have to overcome the mental issue of going full speed against an aggressive defense….not a practice defense…..in regards to his injury. That full speed commitment mentally will only come by playing and him developing confidence that he can make the cuts and take the hits.

Grass will be cut short, and Im not an agronomist; but isnt it rye grass season in Texas. So it could be a an 8 on the stimpmeter. Owen's should be able run fast and no fake grass issues.

Why isn't anyone talking about Morrow?

Don't think Morrow has really proven himself as a tough runner to turn a hard 3yds to 5 like Moss could and EJ has shown. Owens is the feature back right now, but so far he's a notch behind Moss. Daniels has fallen down the depth chart, but would think he still has enough juice to contribute, but Morrow still has some development to go.

Moss has reached Bo Jackson Techmo Bowl level of hype on this board.

He's not going to make that much difference for us. We run well when we block and when the D is worried about Reed throwing accurate deep balls

Sad but probably true. Glad to have him back but after what 5+ weeks? Anyone that thinks he is gonna have a huge impact knows little about the human body. Ruben is not less talented.

We should be hopeful that we keep winning and Moss can be in game shape by the 3rd round.

If Moss isn't ready by 12/20, for whatever reason, he is done this year.

Edited, after research of HAS recovery, to revise the above to by the Cotton Bowl.

He's the best back we have and it's not close.

Part of the reason Moss gets hurt so often is because of his style. He's always trying to punish and attack the defenders. The SC attack that caused the injury was completely uncalled for. He needs to be smarter.

He's the best RB we have but I'd argue it's close. It seems unlikely he gets all the carries. I would guess he plays against Miami but they don't give him the carries he got before the injury. Remember he split carries even when he was 100% healthy.
