Bought through the Cotton Bowl organization

Back in the day my BiL had tickets through the Alamo Bowl because he really liked SA and a t-sip ( questionable tastes in my opinion) but the horns or the Ags were almost always playing there so he had seats on The 30 which is much better than the team allotment

About half the stadium is not in the participating teams allotments and go on sale in the Spring directly from the Cotton Bowl. ...or any bowl for that matter

Cotton Bowl would be like a home game for us. I like our odds.

There are a lot of tOSU fans in DFW, and tOSU is already in. So they are buying tickets now. They will show up
You are the world, we are the USA, don't mess with us and we won't blow your $hit away.

The schools don't get big allotments, most tickets are sold directly from the bowl itself, you could have bought Cotton Bowl tickets months ago.

My niece is a Kilgore College Rangerette, so I got them through her.

I had a coach in jr. high (yes, that was a WHILE ago) who got CB tickets every year. He is an Aggie. I don't know where/how he got his tickets, but he had several (I'd say at least 8) and sold them. When t.u., A&M, and even Baylor made it, he'd clean up. However, in those years, Houston had recently joined the conference and was going fairly often. Nobody, and I mean NOBODY, bought. If I recall right, after 2 years of Houston going, he quit doing it because he lost what he made in all the previous years!

This almost like looking past that game in Austin and buying tix to Atlanta.

The Cotton Bowl association used to offer the equivalent of season tickets, or subscriptions. I have no idea if that's still the case.

SportsBettingAG just released their lookahead lines for possible QF matchups

Ohio State -7 vs. A&M
Ohio State -10 vs. Miami
Oregon -1 vs. Texas Tech
Indiana -5.5 vs. Alabama
Indiana -6 vs Oklahoma
Georgia -4.5 vs. Ole Miss

Go Bucks & Go Aggies!

This is the benefit of being an Ohio State fan lol, people grow up and move out of Ohio. So we have a large presence in every decent city around the country.
PeacefulBuck

Maybe. Austin is an hour closer and that was only like 55/45 Texas fans. Unlike last year, we have a whole month to plan for this game rather than a week after the Rose Bowl.

Ohio State has traveled very well to the last 2 Cotton Bowls.
And they have nearly 4 weeks to get travel plans/ tickets in order.
There will be alot of Ohio State fans in attendance.

WE KNOW.

I'm sure there will be plenty of people traveling all the way from Houston. You midwesterners damn near changed the accent of my beautiful hometown in the 80s and 90s.

I didn't realize how much of a factor that was until last years Rose Bowl against Oregon. Ohio State has played Oregon several times in the past 15 years and Ohio State usually has 75% of the crowd. At the Rose Bowl it was probably 55/45 Oregon because they had know their location for an entire month

Ok Buceye fans who attended last year's game, what was the actual attendance and are the ridiculous ticket prices on the secondary market representative of last year's game ?
I appreciate any insights from your previous experience. I have a feel about our demand and probable attendance from attending the A&M/ Arkansas game over the years

I wouldn't assume that Buckeyes fans won't be there en masse. They travel very well and DFW has a lot of Ohioans living here.

there was a big drop in prices in part because of the snow storm

Yes, you can still be an annual Cotton Bowl ticket holder. I have been for 37 years. I have 15 club seats. There are several members of the Cotton Bowl Athletic Association that have 100 - 200 tickets in a variety of sections that they donate to a number of charity and social organizations each year.

Ohio State and A&M have almost the exact same number of alumni. And you're convinced their will be more of your fans at our first playoff game that happens to be in our state.

This is tsip level delusion.

The head start will help keep the split close to even. Don't underestimate how well they travel. Besides the folks who live in Ohio wanting to escape winter, there is a big Ohio diaspora who left the state looking for work but still back the Buckeyes (just like with LSU).

Game location does not matter for Ohio State fans, except for the Tennessee incident in Columbus.
