Until we prove otherwise, EVERY game against a real team where something of consequence is on the line is a nightmare matchup for us.

Both teams are capable of being really, really good or really, really bad.
The Miami team that played ND early will be a big challenge. If the A&M team that played first half USC or tu shows up, we lose.
The A&M team that played the 2nd of LSU or USC will destroy Miami. Especially if it is the Miami team that showed up for Louisville or SMU.
A&M at the top of our game can make it a long way in this playoff.
The problem is we've been inconsistent (even in first halves against Florida, MSU & LSU we played with our food too much) and the last few games (not including our FCS opponent) have not shown us trending the right way.
That said, change the narrative. Show up and play at the top of your abilities for 4 games.

I'm very excited that we made the playoffs and I really hope we make a run. Hell, I hope we win it all. BUT, this whole system is broken and--other than our making the playoff--almost makes me wants to give up on college football. Miami makes the playoff . . . so now everyone has to talk up Miami. Maybe they'll beat us. Maybe they won't. But they didn't even play in their conference championship. They probably should not have overtaken ND. But, the decision was made and now the talking heads can't stop singing their praises. I hope we murder them . . . because I want to win . . . but also as yet more evidence of how dumb this system is.

If we play like we did against Texas…… then everyone is a nightmare matchup. So they are correct.

Thank God, they do NOT have a mobile QB. And why this is NOT a terrible match up. I also wouldn't call it a great match up for Ags either....
Gonna be tough but a game we can win. Certainly better than playing ND IMO or several others. Definitely a tough road. If we go to Champ, it is well deserved ajd this team better gain the respect they deserve.
Loss? And everyone laughs and says that the only reason we got to CFP was a easy arse schedule. Which I dont believe for a reason but it is reality of the world of NCAA football we live.
I saw an ACC Network preview of their championship game. MacLain dogged A&M a couple of times in an attempt to get ACC schools in the playoff. The guy has an agenda. I have stopped watching most anything other than live games this season. The more the Aggies won this season the more the talking heads talked the Aggies wins down. Sadly some of the SEC Network guys were the worse. As a result I no longer root for any SEC team to win unless it helps the Aggies.

Hate to make it sound simplistic but this game comes down to Reed. I think we can even overcome the explosive plays on D but if you also add Reed continuing to be reckless with the ball and decisions we are done. And right now im not sure we can trust him. Hope hes figured some sh** out going into this game.

Yeah, it's pretty much this.
And I believe that an AWFUL lot of his performance is determined by his legs. Even his passing.
Let him run. It settles him down and gives him a confidence. And it slows the pass rush and keeps the line backers in check.
But no.... Mr coach Klein wants to force him to be a pocket passer.

Bingo. Carson Beck has 38 carries for 39 yards and 1 TD.
My opinion, this game comes down to:
1. our Oline outplaying a good/above good Dline and getting Reed comfortable early.
2. LBs fill gaps and are good to great in coverage. (Dline will do their job)
3. Ricks has one of his good/great games (I think they will attack him)
