I seem to remember Tennessee doing this with oranges once. Many years ago.
In fall of '91 we defeated tu to win a trip to the cotton bowl. The guys next to us had Glad bags full of cotton they'd picked in a field. Everyone threw it, I believe Aggieland had a photo with a caption like the night it snowed at Kyle. It was amazing

I didn't think that 3rd floor RA in Moses was a Miami fan, but he sure wasn't a fan of that orange that crossed the NS Quad. For the life of me, just don't have a clue where that could have come from...

I'm 37 and I'm probably borderline the youngest age which still understand that having a great season back in the day meant a Cotton Bowl invite , and bowls weren't automatically handed to 6 win teams, in fact never to 6 win teams. I think when BCS started and the Cotton Bowl was essentially relegated to a lesser bowl it no longer meant what it did. Or something like that
Hope this catches on. Great idea and would be a great scene at Kyle Field so reminiscent of the mid 80's to early 90's.

It was indeed 1985!! But we didn't just throw the cotton balls. We pulled them apart into small segments that when you let them loose, they floated in the air and looked like light snow falling everywhere in the night lights.
I remember an LSU fan throwing sugar packets all over when he thought Mond didn't kneel….while yelling about the sugar bowl.

It's like the maroon Sac Bee but more stupid.
Maybe like what the kids call a "brain rot" these days but for adults. Or not. Still not sure what a brain rot really is but that site feels like it.
But in any event it's a terrible website and only worth it when it reposts something that makes it to Texags that maybe I missed from the original source.

Will also add that back in the day when the school's demos were different Ags had better access to actual field cotton (which is what I remember being thrown), guessing we would be tossing out bags of cotton balls from CVS this weekend.
Well, since cotton isn't at boll stage at this time of the year, it might be hard to get field cotton.
The guy that originally posted this idea has since deleted his post for the "racist undertones" and apologized for his offensive rhetoric.
