It was indeed 1985!! But we didn't just throw the cotton balls. We pulled them apart into small segments that when you let them loose, they floated in the air and looked like light snow falling everywhere in the night lights.

Man we live in a SAD world. Cotton Balls are an awesome idea and would be a great way to celebrate one of the biggest victories in Aggie Football history. Not to mention just the nostalgia of such a celebration. Maybe we should do more things of the past, just seems to be a better way of doing things.

I didn't click on this for two days because I figured it had devolved into another argument between people wanting to bring cotton and those convinced we don't need to bring cotton because they're so sure we're going to lose. Bit o cotton flying around the 13:30 mark as the 1987 game against Texas neared an end.

Someone mentioned oranges for the Orange Bowl ... that was a thing in the old Big-8. Hard to see but around the 9 minute mark Keith Jackson scores against Nebraska and you can see people trying to clear oranges off the field. Saw it in person in 1984 and it was a fun sight to see, lol

In 2000 when OU returned a Mark Farris interception for a TD at Kyle, there were a few oranges thrown as well.
