Owens has played very well against everyone except tu.
He was not running well against USCe, but our OL played like rubber dog **** that game.
He is a fine workhorse back. I don't like him in short yard situations, but he is a great weapon on any passing down, including 1st down. He can pass block really well, and he can catch out of the backfield better than any other back on the team.
If the name of the game on offense is balance, Owens is going to keep you guessing more than any other back we have.
The only reason that Moss is better than Owens on say 2nd or 3rd and 4 - 6 is because Moss is a threat to pick up 6 yards every time he touches the ball, and he keeps the defense in the box, opening up our passing game.
I do concur that I like EJ better in short yard situations. Just a rough, rough runner.
We need to be able to run the ball, because Bain is going to be after us. He is just as good, or at least very close to as good, as Howell. Miami would say Bain is way better.
