Other than in the opener against Notre Dame, Miami's offense has seemed to hit a cliff against defenses with a pulse all year long (and they didn't exactly blow the lid off Notre Dame). Ignoring the teams they have played outside of the top 60 in SP+ defense (all blowouts where the third stringers probably played significant time), they have put up the following results:
Team (SP+ rank) Offensive score
South Florida (60) 49
Pitt (51) 38
Florida (45) 26
Florida State (39) 28
SMU (32) 20
Louisville (30) 21
Notre Dame (11) 27
For comparison, Texas A&M has played 7 teams in the top 45 in defensive SP+, and while they have stumbled twice offensively (realy 2.5 times), they have shown a much better ability to take the top off a good defense:
Florida (45) 34
South Carolina (28) 31
tu (20) 17
Auburn (15) 16
Mizzou (13) 38
Notre Dame (11) 41
LSU (9) 49
(Miami's defense is ranked #10 in SP+ and Texas A&M's defense is ranked #21).
