It was a very nice season. We should be really happy with the progress of the program. Going to need to build on this success right now because next season is going to be brutal:

at Alabama
at South Carolina
Tennessee at home
at OU
Texas at home

How many wins do we see there? I see 3-4.

What a bunch of whiners on this board right now!

Almost NONE of you would've predicted 11 wins and a CFP birth at the beginning of this year.

Next year's schedule is PROBABLY tougher - but, who knows? Bama could implode like SC did this year. LSU could be mediocre again. Missouri could be the same - certainly beatable. Oklahoma, tu, and Tennessee may be good... or might be worse than this past year. Same with Arky and Kentucky and ASU.

ALL of the teams I listed above that are on next year's schedule had WORSE seasons than we did THIS YEAR except perhaps Bama - as they are still playing. But we know they have significant deficiencies - just like our Aggies.

We have no idea what OUR team will be like when all is said and done with the portal. I know that our coaches are recruiting well. We will have the talent to compete.

I enjoyed this season - even the last two games where we were outscored and ran out of time - as we were competitive in all of the games (winning 11 out if 13) except maybe the second half of the tu game in Austin.

BTHO EVERYONE in 2026 to include winning through the end of Jan 2027!!!

There is only 1 tram that can claim a great season. Everyone else won't be satisfied.

We had a much better season than anticipated- Good, not great.

6 wins - maybe 7. We will be even better next year.

Doing less with more since 1876!

- Beat Top 10 ranked Notre Dame in South Bend
- Beat Top 20 ranked LSU in Baton Rouge
- Beat a Top 25 ranked Missouri team in Columbia

Finish ranked in the Top 10.

Not too bad for a program, on a rising trajectory in Year 2 under a staff of lights out recruiters.

This season means very little if we don't follow up with 9-3 or better. If we go 11-1 or 10-2 we are seriously building something. If we revert back to 8-4 or 7-5 Elko is as good as done.

Wake up!! Making the playoffs is definitely considered a better season than not making them. I realize you're mad, but surely you cannot be that ignorant.

It was a good season overall. The problem was that by the end of the season teams figured out how to shut us down offensively. Force Reed to stay in the pocket the whole time. Next year will be tough if something major doesn't change on offense.

I am going to be beyond pissed if we lose to tu for the third straight year on Kyle next year. But nothing I could do about it other than dropping my season tix. And nothing our AD could do now that we prematurely raised Elko to 11.5 for 6 years. We have to start letting coaches leave if they want.

ETA that we crapped the bed at the end of the season for the second straight year.

All that matters is if we beat tu. Got it op

One of the reasons that beating tu matters is recruiting. They and LSU are our biggest recruiting rivals.
