Yeah hopefully Elko didn't hire Wiggins as our OC, despite his inexperience, for the sole reason that the players love him ( like Trev hiring Michael Earley for baseball…)

I dunno how many times we as a board need to bring up Leach's quote about accuracy being impossible to teach.

Resources such as:

1) talent pipeline for recruiting and NIL
2) OC in the SEC is top tier and leads to HC roles
3) Salary increase
4) CFP access

I'm not an expert in all of the coordinator options on the market. My question was simply why not look at a more experienced hire and a few people have given thoughts…which is to maintain program continuity, which I can understand.

However, Saban usually brought in experienced coaches that would run his same offensive philosophy and evolve it. Food for thought.

He was Saban's assistant head coach for 3 years, I'm sure he knows a thing or two.

Mike Gundy would be a good addition to the staff, either as a coach or as a consultant.

If Gundy was amenable to taking over OC duties, even for one year, I would jump all over that s***.

It's who Elko wanted so he thinks it's the right choice.

RC did something similar with Sumlin and it worked.
