Don't blame him.

Sort of related... if I'm a star player on a team that wins the NC and I'm not NFL eligible, I'm looking for maximum money. I'd transfer in a heartbeat to get it. I don't need another NC.

Moore negotiated his price upwards coming into this season. Apparently a great team guy but perhaps too expensive for the projected value for his skills? If you believe the $9.95 guys, Texas is looking for an upgrade in the transfer portal, so it was a mutual agreement to part and there are no hard feelings.
