We are 10 days away from signing portal players. There are less than 50 4* star players currently available. In the previous 3 years, there were 200 available each year. I know more will enter the portal but doubt 150 more will enter. Maybe teams are more aggressive with pay now to reduce portal losses. Probably a good thing.

Wait for CFP to end as each team will have players enter…esp those buried on depth charts and given final evaluations.

Flip side, i do think NIL deals are getting smarter about having a time commitment in there too. That may curb some of it, but i think there will be plenty by the time the portal window closes.

I think there's plenty of tampering and negotiations ongoing with star players especially those at poorer programs. The portal entry is only a formality.
