I'm a Katy Homer. Loved Echols at the 6A level. He's struggled mightily at lsu. But I would give him a look if he's willing to move to center.

Agreed but he was a road grader at Katy. Jimbo wanted him at center and he wanted to play guard or tackle. He's 6'3" on a good day. Would make a hell of a center if he's willing to make the move.

to me no stone unturned. if he comes at the right price and attitude maybe he is a fit. we will need at least 3 starter type players not sure he falls into that category just yet. but at the right price and willingness to move to center he could be a good backup and future starter after next season. may also offer some positional options in a pinch.

In fairness to him, LSU's OL (and entire offense) was terrible. I don't believe he was put in a position to be successful, and I also don't believe he received proper coaching.

His older brother (cornerback) transferred to LSU from Texas Wesleyan as a walk-on, and talking to the family it sounds like they are a package deal. Older brother didn't play much but he did contribute on special teams.
