Elko himself stated it was against the edge after the first two games.

The biggest issue for our fans is winning literally every game. Hope that helps…

No, the issue is we fans want to win a particular last game.

Or if that's not possible, at least not lose any games in embarrassing fashion.
No…it's always something. It isn't just this or just that. Which reduces to must win every game.

That is fair, and to some other's points in here, talent will help too.

My point is, this is beyond just an upping the talent issue. What makes the "elite" teams year in and out is their ability to progressively improve throughout a season so they are peaking in November and not October. tu and Georgia (and Bama with Saban for that matter) looked incredibly vulnerable throughout September and October, but their coaches used those losses/struggles to find ways to mitigate/minimize those weaknesses going forward. I think Elko has the intelligence to do so, but we just need to see it and haven't for 2 years. This goes beyond any individual scheme or talent issue, but it is rather management/process shift that has to be decided on how to handle ahead of time to adapt to once the bullets are flying, which is why I'm saying it is THE issue.

So for example, if you know you have weak dline depth, adjust personnel and schemes that mitigate that lack of depth. Maybe it means you have to sub more freshman/sophomores than you'd like, but the benefit is that by season's end, you've got more seasoned players running the scheme.

Elite teams never have weak lines. They are elite because they own the trenches on both sides of the ball. If we don't bring in 4-6 seasoned OL and DL, we'll struggle to win 8.

If Bosontis & Nabou come back, I think we only need 1 OL; someone who can play reliable OT, in case R.Bourdon OR L. Rogers aren't up for the assignment (if BOTH aren't, we're in trouble).

A lot of so-so OTs in the portal that would make plus OGs and could slide over and play adequate OT in a pinch.

I expect A. Funk & B. Ivy to be rotational guys, too.

Lots of things play out different this year if Reed plays 'sip and Miami with a shred of accuracy and with sound decision making.

It's not that complicated and I would think we were good enough to win the tu and miami games, if Reed was a half decent. The entire narrative would change - we were good enough to get to the qtr finals

The mojo of the team was somehow just lost after the Missouri game

Find a decent qb and we are good and very good

We lose almost all our production on OL and DL. We lose our best RB, WR, TE's and CB. We replace our OC and DC. This should be rebuilding year for us. It will be a big test for Elko and a measuring stick for what we are building.

Priority #1 has to be to find an SEC quality QB !
We will go nowhere with a QB who would struggle to start for Blinn J.C.
NEXT YEAR IS HERE.......again
