UPI National Champions

I think playing Miami at Kyle was more of a disadvantage this one time because of the wind.

I think Reed plays just slightly better, enough to alter the dynamic of the game, and then who knows.

He was either on or off most of the season and the wind didn't do the O any favors.

Nope, nowhere near the second best team

Maybe without an OC who has the head coaching job at another school.

Don't know how you could have watched the games today and conclude that we might be 2nd best team in the the country. I thought Indiana, Ole Miss and Georgia looked better. And Miami beat us at home.

We had a good year but probably somewhere between 5-10 at best.

Did the OP watch games last night and today? When the seeds were chosen, we were, what 6th? We've become less relevant while not playing. Five or six teams, players and coaches, balled out at a level we've seldom seen. A couple teams shrank from the spotlight. We're familiar.

If 50-70 plays had gone differently, and we had 10-11 upgrades we would be the best team ever.

There is no way we are the second-best team in the country. Big 10 Champion Indiana is the only undefeated team at 14-0, and they smoked Alabama 38-3. Ole Miss and SEC Champion Georgia both looked better than we did, and Miami beat us at home. Oregon dominated Big 12 Champion Texas Tech 23-0. We had a great year but will probably land between 7-10 in the final rankings.

The U keeps rolling and this post makes more and more sense.

As many said all.season, when the Ags played their best, few teams would beat them.

But our biggest weaknesses were:
1. Run defense, especially those big runs against us
2. Kicking game and
3. Inconsistent QB play exacerbated (in my opinion) by a distracted OC and unimaginative and uninspired play calling.

This was an excellent second season under the new coaching regime. It has been a while since I had this much fun watching a winning Aggie football team.

I am looking forward to how Elko and company reload and retool for next season using the portal plus development of some promising young players.

Louisville and

SMU and now

Ole Miss.

It can't be determined but even if it could what difference does it make? All that really matters big picture is did you win the title.

If you make the playoffs relatively consistently then your program is in good hands imo and you'll likely have a breakthrough year eventually.
