It will matter in 3 years when LSU does a Brian Kelly/Coach O on his ass.

His best chance to win a NC was THIS YEAR. He was too arrogant (and stupid) to realize that. Sort of like when Mark Cuban tore apart the 2011 Mavs after that team had won a championship in search of mainly one player (Dwight what's-his-name, who was never coming to Dallas, anyway) and perhaps a few others who had never won one to, yes, win a championship.

AggieinMichigan; he can make a lot of money by winning a Natty. He built a Natty contender and then bailed before the playoffs for a rebuild project at LSU. I would imagine that he might be thinking about that, among other things. Especially if Mississippi wins it all.

If that's how it worked, he wouldn't have tried to keep coaching while under contract with LSU.

The soap opera into next year if Ole Miss wins it, will be pretty epic. I hope he never sniffs a title.

I think recruiting is doing to be much harder than he expects. He'll be able to keep the in state talent, but when he tries to get a guy nationally he's going to have to deal with the fact he gave up on a team in the middle of a playoff run. Other coaches are going to push that. How do you know he's not going to leave for Bama, OSU, Michigan? What about if the NFL comes calling again? I think that's going to be a big deal in recruiting for at least the next couple of seasons.

I'm a long time Jimbo hater but accepted him here especially early on.

Lane Kiffin would be a bigger ****** to swallow though.

I don't dislike him for leaving Mississippi. Or Florida whatever. Or Tennessee. Or wherever. I dislike him for being a Lane Kiffin. Just looking at him I hate him. Best natural heel since Tully Blanchard.

The issue for Lane with Ole Miss continuing to win might be players deciding not to leave when they previously thought they would follow him. I'm sure Weiss has already signed something that locks him in at LSU but he should reconsider too if he can.
