I found it odd and nearly ride towards his former players that he was at the LSU women's basketball game during the Ole Miss game yesterday.

Correct. Part of his LSU contract to cover the Ole Miss performance bonus package he lost when he abandoned his team.
I hope Ole Miss wins the title . -don't think they will but it would be fitting - Kiffin will still have never won anything of note and I hope it stays that way.

We had just moved to the Knoxville area when he became the head coach at the University of Tennessee. He did an incredible job that year. And then he up and left to go to USC. His character, or lack thereof, really came through.
I'm glad he's now sober, but candidly, I don't think he's different today than he was back in 2009.
Just my thoughts....he and LSU are the perfect fit.

Transfer portal opened today, Friday, Jan. 2nd.
LK was hoping Ole miss would lose to UGA and he would get all of his staff back at LSU and start recruiting.
Since Ole Miss won they have to stay game planning for Miami, etc. This is a problem for LK with limited staff.

And I think the majority of the country now considers him a villain and will be against him where at Ol Miss most found it impressive what he was able to do and many rooted for him.
