Regardless, with about 36% of residents foreign born, I imagine New Yorkers
really don't care about college sports let alone are able to tell you where Texas Tech is.
Which means, as we all know, this is all about stroking a recruits ego and letting them know if you come to Tech we'll put you on a billboard in New York City - and you don't even need to be in Heisman contention, eh Nike?
But, if you are willing and able to do that, like you said, more power to them.
