Seems our marketing department needs to up their national exposure game.
Tech is swinging big, clearly....even if it's a little weird.
t.u. showing up everywhere, including big brand-name commercials on national TV.
Where we at?
We have been, just not in your neighborhood.
Why?
The people in your neighborhood probably already know about A&M. Which is what Tech is trying to do here.
In the last 3 years we've put a billboard on Sunset Blvd in L.A. because a current student just won The Voice. We've also had lots of ads up in the NYC subway system at various times. I think we did the same in Chicago somewhere. We sponsor a Nascar team (Haas Factory) and an Indycar driver (Felix Rosenqvist, the A&M logo is on the top of his helmet). We have a whole thing at South by Southwest. We get rewards each year from Fast Company Magazine alongside brands like Coca cola. We're the only university that does that. We've got whole initiatives promoting our professors as subject matter experts for media outlets who are looking for someone to consult on different issues to get our name out there.
You just don't see it because where you live, probably, everyone already knows about A&M, so why would they spend money telling them about A&M?
