Daelyn is a good kid but extremely overrated. Saw him play multiple sports in HS where he was the biggest and baddest and did not do a single thing in either game. Wish him well but he is not an SEC NT

He had 8 tackles last year and played a total of 9 snaps combined against Texas and Miami. He wasn't going to contribute much next year and will be replaced by a low rated DT transfer.

With us needing DT help going into this season, I always wondered why a guy 6'5" and 310 lbs didn't get more playing time.

Saw the kid play in the playoffs his senior year of high school. Had zero effort the whole game. Was shocked he was a 'big time' recruit. This isn't surprising.

Said early in the season that Evans was clearly out of his league, and the fact he was in the DT rotation was a testament to poor depth. I hope he turns things around, but he was very clearly unable to win with speed nor strength. He appears to need to get both in shape and stronger.

One doesn't just replace 8 tackles on the season. One can only hope to cobble together an extra tackle here or there from your existing effort players. He will never truly be replaced. He will be missed.
