When must players officially commit to a school? Don't they have to register for spring classes?

there is no deadline.

if they want to play spring ball, they have to be enrolled.

there is nothing saying they have to be enrolled the first day of classes

Only deadline coming up is the last day to enter the portal which is Jan 16. After that if you aren't already in the portal you cannot enter until after the 2026 season

Technically, they just need to be enrolled by Fall classes but I'm sure that's not how their new coaches would want it.

they are football players, they can enroll whenever they want lol - i'm sure exceptions are made at ever school
