Who is our qb after Reed

True. 11-1 FAR surpassed my expectations. It's also true that we benefitted from a favorable schedule and wet the bed when it mattered most. 2026 won't be any easier, schedule wise.
right? The difference is as like 10 spots from Texas, and when you add in they lost 2 of the best teams they played, doesn't make it anymore impressive.beerad12man said:
The "soft" schedule was ranked the 9th hardest in the country last year by one outlet, 14th by another, and top 18 by just about everyone. People act like it was the 40th hardest schedule in the country. Replace Utah State with Indiana, give us a 100% chance to lose to Indiana, it becomes a top 5 schedule, and we go 10-2 and still likely make the playoffs most years.
It was also supposed to be significantly harder than 2024. I mean, we were having to go on the road to face Notre Dame, LSU, Texas, and Missouri! You just never know how it will play out.
I do expect 2026 to be a harder schedule, but it's usually overstated. The actual statistical expected difference in W/L between the 2025/2026 schedules with the same caliber team is roughly a game. Trading ND on the road for Arizona State at home helps with a harder SEC schedule on paper a ton.
