Reed IS NOT an SEC caliber quarterback.......that's what cost us our losses.
His skills declined instead of getting better as the season progressed.
We REALLY REALLY need an SEC quality quarterback !
I think it is an open question as to whether or not the coaches are keeping him in the pocket. I know it is a different game than it was 20 years ago, but letting him do his thing ala Vince Young (actually, you'd probably only have to go back to Johnny) would be WAY better than what we saw the against SoCar, t.u., and Miami. It isn't that he has NO pocket passing skills but his accuracy isn't there against a quality defense.
I don't know if the thought is coming from the Reed camp that he won't be drafted if he constantly takes off at the first sign of trouble and no immediately open receivers or what, but THAT Reed could have gotten an undefeated Aggie team to at least the Ohio State game and possibly past them. I don't think it matters since the current version of Reed has no hopes of a draft pick.
