In comparison to a typical SEC grind it out season where all SEC teams have more injuries as a direct result.

It's why the SEC failed to make the NC and it's only going to get worse next year with 9 SEC games.

Something needs to change.

Two big 12 schools just came into the conference and each has made the playoff in their first two years.

Just stop.

Indiana ended up playing way more games and a way harder schedule than any SEC team to get the title.

Miami beat us at Kyle. Then OSU on a neutral field. Then Ole Miss on a neutral field.

IU beat Bama on a neutral field. Then Oregon on a neutral field. Then Miami in their own stadium.

What in the hell else do they need to do to be "legit"?

We played an SEC schedule that was as soft as both of theirs. You can't control your opponents success, only your own. They're both better than we are and the entire SEC this year.

The only two things that need to change….

1. A&M needs to get better and win the whole thing.

2. Clowns need to quit buying into the propaganda about the SEC so we can avoid low IQ posts like the OP.

Forget rivalry. The Texas loss was big because we dropped in CFP seeding to face one of the hottest teams in the tournament.

A win puts us in the SEC Champ game, and we were already on fumes and limping around. Getting throttled in that matchup would look bad to the eyeballs, but yeah, seeded different.

The real WTF is why we ever got seeded behind Ole Miss to begin with.

I agree. But I definitely think finishing 12-0 for the regular season puts a whole different look on the season. We need to be in championship games.

The B10 & SEC are practically identical in the number of NFL draft picks at this point, so that tired "excuse" holds no water anymore. Both conferences are stacked with talent and have their share of crap teams year in & out. The B10 has had 3 different schools win it all over the past 3 years while the SEC failed to make the final game.

So all 5 SEC teams that made the CFP were just beatdown by injury? That's the only reason they all lost?

You could cherry pick stats to make a case for Ole Miss or A&M at 6 and 7; it was more or less a coin toss that we came out on the wrong end of. Ole Miss acquitted itself well enough in the playoff that it's hard for us to definitively say the order was wrong. Honestly the more valid gripe is Bama at 9 vs. Miami at 10.

The aTm seeding argument is not vs Ole Miss or Oregon, it is vs Technical. Tech should have been the lowest seeded 1 loss team by a country mile and based on CFP committee's own metrics which they ignored and equated all 11-1 team records as equal despite SOS, SOR, best win and worst loss…..

The CFP committee needs to stop rewarding Big 12 and ACC teams for terrible schedules and look more closely at quality wins and losses vs overall record (as well as non-conf schedule played).

As for IU and Miami playing a softer schedule, that is true overall but it's the bed we chose for $$ and exposure. 2025 shows we can go 10-2+ and get in the CFP as an SEC team. We will play more ranked teams and harder games than any Big 12 or ACC team and many B1G teams, but about the same as SEC teams. Also it's not like IU or Miami played a schedule as bad as Tech did….

Tech didn't cover itself in glory in that Oregon game, but they weren't 4 seed purely out of dumb W-L logic; the advanced stats loved them as well. That was a dominant team and an elite defense, I'd defend them at 4 even with the benefit of hindsight.

Tech should have been 5 or 6. And they would have been much better off had that been the case.

No less than 5 SEC teams would have had the same record and D stats vs the schedule they played…. Hell FL would probably have won 7 or 8 games with their schedule.

Do you have facts to supports this or just your highly biased opinion. You might be right but its not provable. There is a reason objective evaluations work with real numbers.

And BTW we are operating in the world ESPN, the SEC, and Big 10 wanted. And yet people still complain.

Just looking at things this century/millennium, it's funny that the SEC grind of a schedule didn't stop the following teams from winning national championships:

* LSU in 2003
* Florida in 2006
* LSU in 2007
* Florida in 2008
* Alabama in 2009
* Auburn in 2010
* Alabama in 2011
* Alabama in 2012
* Alabama in 2015
* Alabama in 2017
* LSU in 2019
* Alabama in 2020
* Georgia in 2021
* Georgia in 2022

Oh they are legit for sure . Better in the country this season

But what the op is saying is sec teams stall in the expanded playoffs because by that time they are more beat up and worn out than other teams

Except that Georgia lost to Ole Miss and Bama lost to OU. All SEC teams.

Which team "stalled" due to getting "beat up?"

We didn't lose to Miami because we were beat up. Neither did Ole Miss.

So again, give me the team or teams that "stalled" due to being "beat up?" They were all beaten by better teams or because they didn't play well.

The SEC bias on here is truly reaching stupidity proportions.
