Are there any Aggie judges? Just do like Bama did and have an alum judge rule the NCAA rules are illegal and play players who were already in the pros.

Watching Dabo sink lower and lower into irrelevance is enjoyable. He's always been something of a b***h.

You're irrelevant. And your opinion is bad. Feel ashamed.

Dabo is on TexAgs?!?

Man, what an INSANE deal. Good on Dabo for speaking out on this. The NCAA is a joke and so is NIL. NIL was a good idea…I thought players would be able to get $$$ for signing autographs and having brand deals. I did not think this would be 24/7 free agency.

I know it's an afterthought and realistically, most of these guys dgaf about academics, but how the heck does any of this crap work from that standpoint!? I do not think I could be at A&M for a semester and then just randomly swap schools midway through.

Which is funny because of course you and every other normal student who qualified at another school and paid for it could and can.

It's the students whom the university was ostensibly compensating by giving them a free ride for athletic prowess while raking in millions that they've historically hobbled heretofore.

Those students were both a lot more valuable and easily indentured prior to emancipation. Now they're like most students apart from the being paid vs. having to pay thing.

Dabo is a dinosaur in CFB. Quit crying, and get with the program. Nobody cares about "tampering"

The only true way to stop tampering is to have communication windows, which I feel we already have in place, and if you communicate outside of those windows you are subject to what would be the new death penalty of limiting the number of transfers you can take or saying no transfers etc. The days of cutting scholarships or limiting things monetarily are over the biggest punishment I could see now would be having to develop your own players from scratch.

If it wasn't against the rules you might have a point. Dabo has every right to complain if another school is illegally poaching his players. Hope Ole Miss gets made an example.

I agree. If the rules can be broken without consequence, then why have them?

Many schools are doing this, especially sip and LSU.

A better way to stop tampering is paying players what they are worth and building an environment to get them into the NFL.

Dabo needs to go scorched earth on the transfer portal and win column or he's going to be out of a job.

The minute we could not pay under the table I knew college football was done. Enjoyed it while it lasted

What has changed about this form of payment ? To me, it is actually easier for this to occur now, as student athletes being paid above board NIL compensation won't stand out for that new vehicle, Mom's new house, etc..., that is coming from under the table pay.

I dislike all the recent changes in college football a great deal.

But the last ones I want to hear moaning about it are the coaches making millions themselves.

If you take everything Dabo says at face value, then Ole Miss will likely get in trouble. By trouble, I mean the head coach will get suspended for two games. The days of scholarship penalties and bowl bans are probably over. If Ole Miss had any real consequences, I don't think any of the other SEC teams would feel too bad about it.

So many of these coaches are sleazy salesmen, so it's hard to assume that Dabo is 100% truthful.

Don't think some school won't challenge this practice in court. It's not if, but when.

In Texas, the school or athletic department may use existing law interference with business practices, which typically involves tortious interference with existing contracts or prospective business relations. Either would need to prove that a third party (the "meddling" or "tampering" school or athletic program) intentionally disrupted the offended school's dealings and caused financial harm.

The key elements include proving the defendant knew of a contract/relationship, maliciously interfered without justification, and caused damages

Just something to think about.
