A lot of us did. I'm asking about the OP. There's nothing shocking about believing we will lose to LSU, Bama, ou, and tu. Especially with 3 of those on the road.

he made the most obvious prediction two years on a row.

It's an opinion, there no facts about what our record is going to be next year.

I am on record in agreeing with that list of wins but flip the results at Alabama and home against the sips. 10-2

It's funny how ALL preseason predictions are simply predicting a team losing to other teams they think are better-yet that is never how college football actually works or has ever worked..Teams win games where they are slight underdogs. They lose games where they are slight favorites. They also lose games where they are heavy favorites. Why don't preseason predictions involve picking upsets perhaps based on where a game is in the schedule? Like Texas losing at Florida? If someone had predicted that last February, it would have sounded very reasonable to me.

Doesn't really matter what predictions are. You have to make the playoffs or the season is a failure. Pretty simple now to define success.

It sucks that we have to go to Baton Rouge twice in a row but it seems helpful that we play them earlier in the year since it will probably take them some time to settle in with their roster/staff shakeup.

That's a lot of words to say nobody knows.

Elko clearly knows what he's doing in the portal…our talent evaluations have been great. Who thought Howell would be a first rounder when we picked him up?

Given that, what possible basis is there to have OU and Bama as losses? Nobody can make a case for either of those teams to be better than A&M this year. Same for LSU but at least speculating that Kiffen is going to vastly improve them could have merit. I don't see any reasons for the same to be said for OU or Bama.

Here's my criteria. Does the team have a returning QB. It's hard to bring in a new QB and expect to not have some struggles. By that standard LSU and Alabama may struggle early. OU and Horn probably not as much. I don't put a lot of stock in big portal classes. LSU and Auburn both spent like crazy last year and don't have much to show for it. Elko did a great job of identifying the right players and getting the most out of them. But again who knows it's all a crapshoot.

I think SEC Mike's prediction of 8-4 (6-1 home and 2-3 away) is reasonable, and I agree with almost all of his predictions, except flip the home game against Texas to a win.

That's overly dramatic. It could also be they vastly underperformed last year, Lane is a good coach and they spent big $$$ in the portal.

I feel better about Ws over Bama, OU and cow than lsu to be honest.

Many people are predicting Alabama and Oklahoma as losses because they are both on the road. Alabama will be our 8th consecutive game on 10/24 before our lone bye week. While we will be coming off a cupcake home game against Citadel, Alabama will be coming off a tough road game at Tennessee. It will still be a very tough road game at Alabama. Alabama has lost just 7 home games in the last 18 years: Auburn in 2010, LSU in 2011, Texas A&M in 2012, Ole Miss in 2015, LSU in 2019, Texas in 2023, and Oklahoma in 2025. Kalen DeBoer is 13-1 in home games, including 8-1 in home games against Power 4 teams and 7-1 in SEC home games. His only home loss was a 23-21 loss to Oklahoma on 11/15/2025.

While we will be coming off a tough home game against Tennessee on 11/14, Oklahoma will be coming off a tough home game against Ole Miss. If Oklahoma beats Ole Miss, they will have momentum going into the second half of back-to-back SEC home games.
