Also...why are they so committed to playing the championship game on a Monday night? Put that ***** on Saturday where CFB belongs

The problem with playing the national championship game on Saturday is that the NFL will either have week 18 games or Wild Card playoff games on the second Saturday of January depending on how the calendar falls. That's why they are so committed to playing the championship game on a Monday Night. I think it should be moved to Friday night.

I haven't looked at the dates for future years, but this year, the championship game fell on MLK day, which at least resulted in some folks having that day off. So, if you were travelling to the game, you might only miss one work day (the Tuesday after). If the game is on a Friday, that's going to be two work days missed for everyone.

Yes, the championship game fell on MLK day the past two years, but it will be on 1/25/27 and 1/24/28, one week after MLK Day because the NFL will probably schedule a Monday Night Wildcard Playoff game on 1/18/27 and 1/17/28.

Just face the truth. College football will never be as good or as enjoyable as it once was.

Yes, A&M may eventually purchase a NC, but it won't be with boys who dreamed of being a FIGHTIN' TEXAS AGGIE as a kid.

This has been the case for at least 35 years.

So you don't think Coach Slocum was recruiting kids who dreamed of being a Texas Aggie?

Never suggested anything of the sort

Elko is also recruiting kids who dreamed of being Aggies. But both coaches know you have to do much more than that to be successful.

You need players to view college as a means to an end of making it to the NFL.

I assume Winter basketball ratings are to blame for dragging out football as long as possible.

I mean does it really matter, though? Same amount of games regardless, so why the break? All it's adding is more time for the talking heads between games, which I doubt is driving much in terms of viewership.
