How many actually sign ... It's April

How many transfer out before making any impact

how many stick around actually graduate

I know recruiting is important but it's hard to get excited about it like in the past as the game has changed so much with the money and transfer options.

I kid.

Either way, besides Denver Harris, there weren't many mis-evals on the defensive side of the ball. Biggest problem with the '22 class was everybody transferred away.

That's your choice. You can't win without recruiting well so I still get excited. Maybe not to the same level as before but a strong class indicates one of two things. We are outpaying everyone or we are relevant.

The biggest takeaway from these rankings is it's a sign of where your program is trending. Half of the dudes don't pan out but the other half usually do. Stack classes like this consistently along with working the portal like we've been doing and eventually it will all come together.

I'd much rather have the #1 class in Elko's hands than the last guy.

And I think more will sign than you think now that NIL deals are above the table.

But I totally get where you're coming from as before this past 11 win season I didn't see the point. For 15 years now our recruiting was always better than the on-field product. But I think any time a coach shows he can get over the hump like Elko did, that inspires optimism.

In 2022, Bama and Georgia had been recruiting top 1 or 2 classes EVERY year for a decade. To think we could topple that level of talent with ONE class was delusional..But in 2022 I was DEFINITELY delusional..

For this '27 class, really need to close the deal on J Snell (safety from Waxahachie). The dude is real and will be a starter soon in his college career.
