They are the same age classification, Hart reclassified. The extra year in the system is to his advantage, but these guys likely compete for a year before one transfers out

True in terms of actual age. But yeah, I mean more the system. He's been in a collegiate weight program for a year. Big advantage there.

Starting Bussey at DB as a true fish is exactly what screwed him over. They moved him to WR where he should have been all along an he lost a year of development. Then, the Kline offense never used him as he should have been.

Bussey was a 2A player with talent who never played WR in high school. It was always going to be an adjustment.

He didn't set his expectations. All signs was that he probably shouldn't have been a 5 star. His 40 time was the main reason he was.

By all accounts, he was on track this spring to have his best season. I hope the injury didn't derail that, but it wouldn't shock me if he's a very good player. Likely never going to be a true five star and that's okay.

If he has a good year statistically (regardless of W/L record) I fully expect him to declare. That's just the premium on QBs. I could be a thousand percent wrong, but every single year you see junior QBs declare, and as a reminder, he'll be a redshirt JR this year. Even marginal improvement from last year's numbers would make me think he'll be gone.

You do realize they practice 11 on 11, right? Every team does. Regardless of whether the fans see it, it could just as easily happen at any other practice.

Unless you want to go into the season without having played 11 on 11 tackle football, which would be an even bigger disaster than losing 1-2 to injury.

I would be shocked if Reed declares early, regardless of what happens next year. If he's gone in '27, it's because he transferred (for better or worse)

I could be completely wrong, like I said. But it seems like a lot of players declare earlier than they should. We've certainly had our share. Time will tell.
