Surprised they extended him after the blowout loss in the playoffs. There will be a bunch of Tide fans that will be piszed off beyond belief. The buyout will be huge, so assuming he'll be there a few years.

Well, 6 or 7 is lower in comparison to where they were before NIL under Saban. With Saban they were a consistent 1 or 2 due to Saban and their program's prestige/allure.

Maybe they were impressed by what they saw in their spring game.

It's not really that complex. He's eventually not going to live up to Bama expectations of continuing the Saban legacy and they are going to fire him and eat the buyout.

Used to work with a big money Bama donor. This was back when the sips were between coaches and Saban was rumored to be on the short list.

He said the sips could not afford Saban or his buyout. I laughed and said if it was just about the money and nothing else both the sips and Ags had more booster money in their back pockets than Bama could ever dream about. That fact hasn't changed.

I hope he goes 0-12.

I think a 10mm buyout means that is what it costs if somebody else wants him
I'd call that $10mm guaranteed which if true is very favorable terms for Bama
