Edit: Thanks for the heads up on this, Hank. After further review, I see the going rate around $2000 on eBay for a Ridell helmet you can get at Academy. The helmet I have is an authentic black helmet like the ones when we came out in black versus Mississippi State. With that being said, I will let this one go for $1750. This includes a very nice display case. I'll pay for shipping unless you are local in College Station where I can hand deliver.


To my knowledge and per the 12thMF, at the time, I have the only helmet autographed by our 2 Heisman winners. I donated over $10K at the Brazos Co Coaches night back in 2013. It has been preserved in a display case which comes with the helmet.

My youngest son has one of those Riddell helmets he got from his future father in law for Christmas. So bad.

I also have a white Rydel Helmet with John David Crow and Johnny's audograph. Bought it for myself as a Christmas gift and received a maroon helmet with Johnny's audograph on the same Christmas. That's what you get when you decide not to tell the wife about your purchase.

My friend has a charity golf outing each year here in PA for his sick daughter. A lot of college's donate items for a silent auction, and Texas A&M has always been very generous. It is usually golf items, but every once in a while they mix in some football stuff. In 2021 after the Orange Bowl they sent a signed Jimbo ball. I got it for around $100 because I am the only Aggie in the area and the reason my friend reached out to A&M to donate (you should see my golf bag).

I recall posting this story on this message board somewhere and I was offered a pretty big number for the ball - I think it was $1,000 but it could have been more. I don't recall because I never considered selling it. How much is it worth now?
