Texas actually has a hard schedule this year. I see them losing at least 3. Maybe more.

No they don't. Every relatively tough game they have is at home except for LSU (unknown how that's going to pan out) and us, and we haven't proven to be much of a roadblock for them. They should cakewalk to 10 wins unfortunately unless we grow some sack and step up

Texas struggled with a 2-3 record in true road games last year, and both of their road wins came in overtime against SEC bottom feeders Kentucky and Mississippi State.

14-7 loss at 12-2 (9-0 Big 10) Ohio State
29-21 loss to a 4-8 (2-6 SEC) Florida that fired their head coach 15 days later
16-13 overtime win over 4-8 (1-7 SEC) Kentucky
45-38 overtime win over 5-7 (1-7 SEC) Mississippi State in which they trailed by 17 with 12:29 left in regulation
35-10 loss to 12-2 (7-1 SEC) Georgia

Texas will have true road games against Tennessee, Missouri, LSU, and Texas A&M. I think they will lose at least 2 of those 4 road games and maybe a home game to Ohio State. Hopefully, we snap a 3-game losing streak to Texas by beating them for the first time since 2010 and at Kyle Field for the first time since 2007.

Because finishing with an undefeated 9-0 SEC record is statistically much harder than finishing with an undefeated 8-0 SEC record; the top SEC team will probably finish with an 8-1 or 7-2 SEC record. Georgia and Texas are the leading favorites to win the 2026 SEC football championship because they have favorable schedules, consistent elite performance, and high-ranked rosters. I won't be surprised if the Texas and Texas A&M enter the Lonestar Showdown with identical 9-2 records to make it a play-in game.

Texas is loaded everywhere but where they need to be - OL. But for whatever reason, Sark thinks this is his year. I also think it's his last year at Texas. He wants an NFL job that pays about the same for half the stress.

Another possible loss is the Red River showdown with OU - Sooners are expected to be pretty good.

I would like Oklahoma to beat Texas, but Texas has outscored Oklahoma by a combined score of 57-9 in the last two meetings. Oklahoma will need a significant offensive rebound to have a chance of beating Texas.

You can't be surprised because you're a robot.

SEC is not wide open
It's A&M , Georgia ( two teams that made the playoffs ) & tu a team that was the 2 nd team Out from the playoffs

Maybe one of these teams underperforms maybe Bama or OU or LSU catch fire but those three are the prohibitive favorites to be in Atlanta

Currently on Fanduel

tu +310
UGA +330

Those are the two favorites.

Then:

A&M +750
LSU +800
Bama +900
Ole Miss +950

I am a fan and will include A&M I think the Ags have the best chance of challenging for a spot in the CCG because we get tu at home and I believe Bama and OU and LSU have enough issues that we can beat them on the road

OP saying it is wide open seems incorrect

The OP is a tu troll. Check out the posting history. It all about slighting the Texas football program. That account is likely stirring up message board traffic to post on other socials.

Everyone here is optimistic that Marcel will have improved. That same logic doesnt apply to a QB thats played in two games against A&M and won both games

Goodness
he may have played the first year they won but he only played a few snaps. Not exactly him being the reason they won the first year.

Let's be honest, he played 1 game against A&M and won. Getting in 2 snaps in 2025 doesn't count as a win for Arch.

Shhhhh, don't let facts stop the simps from defending the e-honor of the sips. It's pathetic how many people **** on the Ags and defend the sips anytime someone points out that the sips might not be the next 2020 Crimson Tide.

I dont think so. I know it hurts but Texas is in a National Championship or bust season. They are absolutely loaded everywhere. I fully expect them to win it this year.
LOL. "Loaded"… No. Sips are about to lose 4 or 5 games. They've finally got a hard schedule. They've gone from 3 tough games to now 5 tough games. Their roster does not impress me and especially their QB.

They have a much harder schedule than last year. In the first five games they play tOSU, at UT and against OU in the red River friendship game.

Their last four games are against Mizz, L$U, pig and us are all on the road except for pig.

Sark got rid of a very good DC to bring in a retread who has only had limited success in one stop since 2010 by calling a scheme that Kirby Smart controlled.
