"Won't somebody think of the children" is a fake concern.

people don't like 11 am games because the crowd isn't as energized compared to night games, less tailgating and you have to wake up super early to get there. All valid reasons in my opinion.

But spare us the "poor kids! How can they wear maroon!!"

Yeah, but 11am is worse all around for sun exposure which is what really brings the pain. 2:30 games at least gives a little relief to parts of the stadium as the game rolls on.
