Seeing as how it's mostly a free market now, you probably don't need that many deals to go public before you can start making good estimates.

Agents and coaches all know how much players are worth. Doesn't take long for that to leak out

Theyre just estimates based on NIL valuations. NIL valuations are estimates based on player value estimates. They're all estimates.

It's no more made-up than the recruiting rankings everybody treats as fact.

weird take. its all estimates, based on real info. no , its not required to be disclosed but there's so much information about it that its fairly easy to make estimated guesses. all for clicks? there's not even ads on that site. A&m publicly disclosed all nil that went to athletes just a couple years ago.

Tell us more. Which athletes got how much and what is the balance between school funded NIL, scholarships, and third-party NIL and how does it add up?

Well, not exactly. Assuming everyone is doing what they are supposed to, the NCAA does actually know but theu do not report/release the info. Players are required to report their deals to their respective school and the schools must report to the NCAA. But yes, this data is, in fact, made up.
