Most people don't really follow TT. What little bit we do hear from the national media is that they pass a lot and their coach is a pretty innovative offensive mind.
However, most would put TT, Baylor, TCU, SMU, Rice, Houston, all the Texas schools in the Second Tier. A&M and Texas are the Top Tier.
Also if you said Tech, most people in this neck of the woods think you're talking about Georgia Tech or Virginia Tech.
