Pics of the Lot

This is a lot of wooden model airplanes that were left to me when my grandfather passed years ago.

These are gas engine, radio controlled airplanes that were popular in the 1960s and 70's. Selling as a lot.

Several models, engines, props, blueprints, an X-acto knife set, and radio controller. Pricing is all over the place online but I am hoping to sell this to an enthusiast or collector.

$400 obo. Pickup in College Station and I am in Houston weekly.

Man I had a blast with those as a kid, you had to be quick with your finger or the prop would sting you.

If the kits are relatively unopened, those maybe worth the most. Ebay would be a better place to list. Especially the "Buster" pylon racer.

It appears most of the engines are Fox. Not surprising as those were most common in that era. Might be some value there. But when I was into the hobby in the early 80's, Fox was considered bottom shelf.

The radio might have some antique value, but useless today. In fact, I believe the frequency is illegal to use.

Someone might want it just for the electronic components tho...

I echo everything Gator said plus add that the RCGroups and RCUniverse forums might be good places to list the kits as well. I sold a ton of stuff on RCGroups.

I miss the hobby a little. I had a great time flying and had some nice planes in my hangar at the end. Not to derail, but here's a few picts to bump this thread. Hope the OP doesn't mind.
