I got my boat in 2020 and my Terrova has been a "Covid special" and spend more time at S. Texas Trolling motors than on my boat. Did you get the Ulterra or the new Instinct? I can't find a new 24v Ilterra anywhere

I got the Instinct, the Ulterra replacement.
The guy I buy from said the Ulterra had a 90% failure rate and he has sold about 20 of the new ones and hasn't had a problem yet.

And the above motor is SPF this weekend.

When I bought my boat it came with Ulterra Riptide (which Im not sure where it falls with the OG ulterra) but it was completely fubar. But working with STX trolling motors was able to get it going again and its been flawless since then. *knock on wood*

This motor and the spot lock features alone, have been a game changer for us. We fish a lot of water in a short amount of time. You add to this, the power pole, and enhanced electronics, and the fishing day is so much easier on that old back, each time you have to weigh anchor.

I wish I had got the self deployed model. I'm 3 years into mine and have thought about replacing it but if I can only get $600 bucks for it I'll have to run it at least a few more years.

Edit to add. I'm not being an ass. I am complementing the seller. That's a hellofa price

Not much more but think I could have quickly gotten $750 on 2Cool.
