I am looking to sell my Tahoe with 198,278 miles. I bought this truck in February on Bring A Trailer and have put less than 100 miles on it. It's been garaged since I purchased it and was in climate controlled storage with the previous owner. I am going to attempt to link the BAT listing that has a ton of information from the former owner. He knew a lot more than me about the truck, so I'm hoping the extra information will be useful. I'm not vouching for anything he is saying, just providing the due diligence I was given before buying it sight unseen.

There are a couple things I found to be different than what he described.

The brakes did not work well at all. They were very spongy. I found a leak in the master cylinder. Once I replaced that part and bled the system, the issues with the brakes were resolved.

There was a coolant leak that was resolved by replacing some hoses and plastic connectors.

There is a small crack in the dash on the driver's side that appears to have been glued. There is a photo at the link provided.

The transmission cable also needs to be replaced. The connection under the dash is worn out and it becomes detached from the shifter. I currently have it zip tied, which is working fine, but it's not a long term fix. The replacement of that cable is fairly simple with lots of YouTube videos available.

I get a little bit of a power drain sometimes that I have not been able to pinpoint. I've taken to leaving it on a battery tender since I drive it so infrequently and haven't had any issues recently.

There are also some misc rock chips in the paint and some of the chrome trim needs to be re-done as you would expect on an unrestored vehicle of this age and mileage. The paint is very shiny, and it is perfect for a vehicle you want to drive and not worry about babying. I only point it out because the photos look so good.

Other than that, the only other change I made to this vehicle was to install a Boss Elite radio/video screen and backup camera. I only did this because I had intended for my nephew to drive, and I didn't want him backing into anything. If I was keeping this vehicle, I would take it out and put the factory stereo and cd player back in, which I still have and will provide with the sale.

I will also provide the original wheels I got when I had purchased the truck. I had intended on getting them refinished, although I kind of like the look of the wheels he has on there, and the tires are basically brand new.

Since fixing all of the minor issues, the truck runs and drives great.

I am only selling this truck because I am tired of messing with older vehicles to keep them on the road. I bought an old Mustang a few years ago on BAT, and it's enough on it's own, not to mention the five other vehicles I have to maintain now that all my kids are driving. Since I wasn't going to buy them newer cars to keep up with all of their friends, I thought I would get them some of my favorites from my youth, but I underestimated my willingness to do everything it takes to keep them up and running as daily drivers. Maybe someday when they are grown and out of the house, I'll have that time.

Sorry for the long winded write up. I want to make sure I provided as much info as possible. You will see from the BAT listing the price I paid. Maybe not the best negotiating tactic, but like I said, I want to make sure interested parties have all the info I can provide. I think I paid a reasonable price for it last year, but I'm not interested in holding onto it for months or wading through a bunch of buyers to maximize every dollar. I'd rather put a reasonable price on it and see if I can find a buyer quick.

The truck is located in Trophy Club, TX on the Northwest side of DFW. You can reach me at cdakin zero zero (a) gmail .com. I'll be happy to answer any questions you might have.

That's a beauty. If only I had the disposable income.

My dream car has always been a 2-Door Tahoe. My friend in high school had a black lifted hoe with a grill guard and then he traded it in for a Prius.

Looks like this one is sold!

Someday when all these kids are gone, I'm gonna get another one of these.

I've got nothing to add other than I can vouch for this seller and the honesty of the condition he describes of a vehicle that he sells.

Thank you, FDXAg. I'm guessing the Accord worked out for you. My daughter turned 16 a little over a year after I sold it. Needless to say, I regretted not holding onto it.

It's been great! I do feel bad your daughter wasn't able to drive it but it's been a blessing for us for sure. Used car buying is a nerve-racking endeavor but I've always preferred dealing with fellow Ags as I have never had a bad experience yet.

And ironically, it might soon get passed down to my youngest daughter who is turning 16 in June.
