Wife wants to put a murphy bed in our kids playroom for guests. Ideally queen size. Located in BCS but would be willing to drive a reasonable distance for pick up.

I got mine from Breda Beds. It is a queen size. Was around $1450. Took 2 days to put together

We got something called a Murphy cube. Bed that when folded up looks like a dresser. We have queen size and I can't imagine my wife would have spent too much on it but I dunno. Sits low to ground but most/everyone say they sleep well on it.

I wouldn't recommend a cheap Murphy bed. They need to be mounted to the wall and balanced for safety reasons. Definitely not something I'd have my kids use.

Consider a nice sleeper sofa with an extra thick mattress topper you can put on it when folded out.

I work nights and we looked into a Murphy bed and everything together was going to be $1500-$2500 to get a decent and safe setup. We also needed a couch in that room so we went with this, and it's worked well.
