Going to be awesome to see new USMNT Juan Carlos Osorio coach against his former team and beat them 2-0.

The ticket prices for all the domestic games are hovering around $80 each.

Doesn't mean we won't see a coach hired before then. Just trying to keep someone in the seat until the new guy gets here.

I know but why didn't they extend Sarachan earlier instead of waiting to the last minute, especially US Soccer knew Stewart doesn't officially start as GM until 8/1.

Just another example of the dysfunction that is US Soccer.

Ya know, that was my first reaction as well, but the guy hasn't done a bad job with the kids. I know he's got that Arena stink all over him but I'm okay with this for now. Other than being associated with the prior regime I haven't seen anything out of him repulsive.

I had assumed we were waiting for the run of WC castoffs.

Is that not the case?

The extension doesn't exclude us from hiring any of the WC coaches and really doesn't affect our timetable. If we bring someone on, we just pay Dave the rest of the money left on the contract and bring the new guy in. To me it just covers the bases in case we can't get pen to paper before our fall friendlies.

Do it. They'll be breaking in a new coach after they fire Southgate for getting knocked out by Columbia

I have enjoyed the Southgate reign. For the first time I can remember, England have a squad. An actual team, built and coached to play like a team. Really hoping it works out for them, because it's how proper national team management should look.

Agree. I've really enjoyed watching them play. My wife's English cousins are pretty high on him as well. I think he looks like a goofy ******* that's playing dress up in his dad's work clothes.

If I can wrangle up a squad to go I just might go.

I wonder how many of those will be "B squad" opponents, especially in November in the middle of league seasons

Does it matter if we are playing our young guys?

Thinking more about the draw to see stars from those other countries. Seeing them play England without Kane, Sterling, Cahill doesn't move the needle as much. It would be like our young guys playing Northern Ireland

I'm assuming that'll be an international break, with most of their NT players pretty local I'd expect to see fairly high end squads.

I think the Sept friendlies would be more likely to have "B" squads, especially Brazil. European seasons have just started and with the WC, star players would probably want a bit of rest.

Is Pareja still in the mix? We used to hear about him a lot for coming in after this World Cup, but I haven't heard his name mentioned in probably 9 months. Is he still a contender for this?

Good read, thanks.

Man what I'd do for one of those attacking fullbacks to be American (especially on the left).

He's not in the Bundasliga yet, but Tyler Adams fits that bill very well.

I guess you are referring to Klinsmann as the "Germerican" but he is about as American as they come, born and raised in California.

He would be more an "Ameri-germ" than a "Germerican" anyway.
