I was excited to be in London for business in 2010 when England played Germany in the round of 16, but the rowdiness/fun factor in the pub I was in ended pretty quickly as Germany came out of the gate pretty fast and crushed their hopes. The minority of German fans there were pretty pumped up though. I left at halftime to try another pub and it was so quiet on the streets for a Sunday afternoon.

Afterward I enjoyed walking around Hyde Park as there were numerous Argentinian fans partying in the park before their match that kicked off later in the day.

Sounds like it was fun world cup watching. Another reason to regret missing the world cup, I bet it's interesting being an American abroad during that time if we are doing well

Turns out it was a save after all - the goalie got his foot on it and redirected it into the post. It was going in.

Most people on views we saw from the game and replay believed he hit the post on the sharp angle. But this other angle slo mo shows the goalie got his foot on it.
