I miss 12th Man Rewards. As a student, that thing had me at every sporting event imaginable. They are doing a scarf giveaway if students go to 4 games. I'm not sure that's much of an incentive to the general public (plus it can be hacked fairly easily).

well you'll see less in attendance this year with the move to stubhub, if you want to sell a seat now you have to list it for $6, plus $4 fee, plus another couple dollars in fees pushes a seat over face value. My guess is this will be problem across all non rev sports. Not sure our AD cares about attendance outside of football

My initial thought was that Ally got away with a little pushoff when she got possession of the ball on her goal. But then I've seen her hit a lot harder with no foul called. in the first half we had a lot of dangerous possessions in the offensive third but did not convert. I love what Jimena brings to the team. In the first half she went deep in the defensive corner, blocked a couple of passes and came out with possession of the ball. after seeing the attendance for the exhibition last year with the Mexico Under 20 team I would like to see the marketing staff use her to reach out to that community. I also liked the way Kate played. Was anyone else surprised Addie took the PK?
#21 for USD had a rough time when she came back in during the second half. She got a yellow for taking down Grace, got called for the handball which led to the PK, and later committed a foul just outside the box.
Very glad to see 8 different players score our 12 goals in the 4 games. And it's good to be 4-0 knowing we can play a whole lot better. Congrats to Cossette for making SEC Defensive Player of the Week.

As everyone said, an improvement over Friday, partially the opponent and partially I think a better use of the players on G's part. Concerning the long, seemingly purposeless kicks, we've developed a phrase over the years. We call these KTNs (Kicks To Nowhere). This may be applied to shots also, if the intent seems to be how hard they can blast it instead of putting it on frame. If moving toward the south end, these KTNs can be called Kicks to Navasota. Injecting some levity into the fan experience. I actually think these are going down compared to years past, however, unless our defense is overmatched and we're doing panic clearing. Offsides seem to be down also.

some takeaways that haven't been mentioned.

Our defensive line is pretty slow, which is not good when we are playing 3 backs and when they are not a physical group.

We had several fouls on corner kicks, one which took away a goal. Other team shoved our GK on one corner and no whistle. G was pissed.

We do not build up any offense. Almost all of our good chances come from individual efforts and long balls. We had the ball deep several times and can never connect a final pass or are indecisive on when to shoot or pass. I'd really like to see more focus on passing and diagonal runs. Kicking it deep to Watt, Smith, Bates is fine at times since they are all really fast and talented, but we will need to be able to connect a few passes together to build an attack against better competition.

This is good, I'm going to use KTNs going forward.

Good points. Most of our offense is generated from individual effort or long balls. That's not sustainable against good defensive teams. We need more designed give-and-go play in the final third. Players need to be on the move and give options to the teammate with the ball.

At the radio show last night G thought maybe the keeper was distracted on the last goal by Grace making a move towards the near post and after watching a replay I think that is likely. I was trying to think the last time I saw a water break in a game. I was looking at the OU soccer twitter and the same thing happened in one of their games over the weekend.
