I thought that was hilarious. Miazga and US soccer seem to be getting hammered on social media by European and Mexican soccer fans..

yeah, because Leo Messi is also short, no one should make fun of a soccer player for being short. Silly Americans thinking size matters in soccer.

also, because the short guy is Mexican, Miazga and US Soccer are now racist for making fun of his tiny mexican height.

honestly, this guy was pestering Miazga all game, finally got called for one of his many fouls, and had the nerve to get in Miazga's face with the stare down. It had to be pretty funny for Miazga to be staring down at him like that. Easy to make fun of the little punk. /not racist.

Yeah....I dont see Messi bowing up to a lot of defenders like shorty mcshorterson was.

So i guess the culturally Mexican response to racist trash talk is a two-footed, spikes-up tackle? Its takes a puto to know one I guess.

So mad I went to bed and missed the scuffle

My favourite part was when they sent the 6 foot mexican to try to fight him

dirty and completely unnecessary. typical Mexican style. shame that the Mexican players in the local leagues play the same way
I'm watching this late...at first I actually don't think he was trying to go studs up there. I think he was trying to pull the ball back, and got run run into from our defender and ended up going over the top.
the part that makes me think he meant to do it, was the other leg comes through studs up as well. You dont just randomly do that when you get run over from behind
I know what you are seeing (I saw it too), but this was 100% a RC for Serious Foul Play. Even the Mexican players didnt protest much. If you are that out of control that you go over a ball studs up into another player, you get the magic red card. Magic because it makes players disappear.

Update on the McKennie knee injury. USMNT just announced that it was knee bruise, not sprain.

Especially when you consider the scuffle that happened immediately prior to this.

That was a dirty dirty tackle at midfield

Sadly this team would have qualified for the world cup by winning that last game
