I've watch the replay several times and I still don't understand what he did exactly to warrant a red card. That does come with a 3 match ban though. I imagine this gets rescinded

IMHO it's a clear Red, CR7 intended to hurt the defender mildly and get away with it, it's still aggression on a rival

Multi match ban would keep him out of the match at Old Trafford. What a gut punch that would be to all involved.

Ramos was a bad influence.

Maybe the rules say that it should be a red, I'm no expert there. But from my vantage point it was a very weak head scratch that wouldn't even make my 5 year old cry. It was a dumb thing to do by Ronaldo and rules are rules. So if the red stands then so be it, wouldn't be upset about it. I would still reverse it based on how weak it was.
