Howdy!

My name is Jake Davis and I'm a student leader for Freshmen Exemplifying Aggie Spirit Together (FEAST). We make up a large portion of the people that stand behind the goals at Ellis. We're a new organization on campus that believes in really bringing the 12th man to life in ALL Aggie sports - not just football and men's basketball.

We had the idea to make fathead signs of the ladies on our soccer team just to do everything we possibly can to show support, but we can't really afford to make more than 4-5 by ourselves. We want to make them for as many of the ladies as possible, so I'm reaching out to see if any Aggie soccer fans out there would be willing to make a donation or sponsor a fathead sign. They're $20 a piece and they will look something like the ones in these pictures. These fathead signs will be making the trip to Orange Beach along with about 20 of us that are going to support our team.

If any of you are interested in sponsoring a fathead, providing other ideas on how we can create an even better atmosphere at Ellis, or even just want to learn more about FEAST, please feel free to reach out to me at jcdavis47@tamu.edu .

Boy have you come to the right place, but about 2 months late. We used to lead the nation in stadium atmosphere but have really fallen off in the last 2 years. I have to go to a test review right now but I'm gonna post more later.

Ok, first of all, I like the fat head idea. It's kinda basketball-y, but that's ok. I tend to support making soccer a unique environment, not a copy of baseball or basketball. Also, I'm concerned that you're just a group of freshmen, it's difficult to have continuity year to year that way. Final criticism is that you have access to the best seats in the stadium (front row of midfield) but you sit in the worst seats (behind the goal). I understand some people don't like soccer much and would rather just heckle the keeper, sitting behind the goal is fine for them, but if you enjoy soccer I don't know why you wouldn't stand at midfield.

Now, Maroon Militia is/was the student support group for the soccer team. There are still remains of that organization in the press box that you can have access too. Flags, song sheets, maybe tshirts, maybe confetti. We used to have several songs we'd sing throughout the game. Along with the drummers. Songs are a very soccer thing, so it would be cool if y'all brought those back.

Howdy, Jake! THANK YOU for organizing your compatriots to show up for games, to be loud, and to make the trip to Orange Beach! As Redd says, the student support for Aggie Soccer has been absolutely tremendous most years and I'm glad to see y'all are making an effort as freshmen to impact the game by your attendance and your voices. And now, by fatheads. I like all of Redd's suggestions. Most of all, thank you for your support of Aggie Soccer.

Sorry, should have clarified. We are not all freshmen. We're currently sophomores and freshmen with an emphasis on teaching the freshmen in the organization leadership skills and how to be good, redass Ags. Next year we will be juniors, sophomores and freshmen with the same goals for our new freshman class. We have some plans in place for continuity and making sure we're still getting a ton of people out to the games in all of our future seasons.

As far as taking the bad seats go, we know they're not great but we've gotten to talk to some of the ladies on the team and they think that's where we have the biggest potential impact. I've personally been at every game at Ellis in the past two seasons, most of which were spent in the student section and I know that you can't beat the view of those seats, but we still have lots of fun behind the goals.

We would absolutely love to have some of that Maroon Militia stuff passed on to us so please feel free to message or email me about it!

Glad you guys are taking up the mantle. We started Aggie Arsenal my freshman year that then transitioned into Maroon Militia by the time I'd graduated. Try looking into meeting with Coach G. (although this may not be possible until the spring). He can help get an idea of what the girls may want in forms of support as well and he was more than willing to meet with us and spitball ideas.

Or, perhaps people who are offering to support the OP and his friends are reaching out to him via his email address instead of via a public TexAgs post . . .
