Your Texas Aggie soccer team began their season at Santa Clara last Thursday, before traveling down the coast to Malibu. This week, they continue that theme by importing a team from Los Angeles - Cal State Northridge.
Texas A&M and the Cal State Northridge Matadors face off at Ellis Field on Friday at 7:30PM. The Matadors are 2-0 on the season with wins over UNLV (1-0) and Southern Utah (4-0). Both of those games were played in Las Vegas.
CSUN looks to be a better team this year after a rough 6-9-1 finish last season. 2-0 is actually CSUN's best start since 2012, which is also the only season they participated in the NCAA Tournament. Texas A&M is 1-0 all-time against Northridge. That lone win was a 5-0 rout in 2010.
We got to see sun last week in California. But tomorrow night, we'll get C-SUN in Ellis Field.
